Air India flight carrying students evacuated from Ukraine’s Sumy lands in Delhi

An Air India flight from Poland’s Rzeszow carrying college students evacuated from northeastern Ukrainian metropolis Sumy, landed in Delhi on Friday morning, officers mentioned.

The flight had taken off from Rzeszow round 11.30 pm (IST) on Thursday and landed in Delhi at 5.45 am on Friday, they mentioned.

India has despatched three flights to Poland to carry again 600 college students evacuated from Sumy.

One other flight is predicted to land in Delhi round 8.40 am, officers mentioned.

 

In accordance with the small print shared by the scholars with PTI, the primary flight was for first, second and third-year college students.

The second flight is for fourth and fifth-year college students and the third is for these with pets, fifth and sixth-year college students and for some other who might have been left behind, they mentioned.

The Indian authorities is finishing up a difficult evacuation train below Operation Ganga to assist stranded Indians go away Ukraine.

The operation to evacuate the 600 college students from Sumy started on Tuesday morning.
