Chabad Lubavitch wants to expand its Greenwich school, but neighbors cite noise issues on campus

by universalverge

GREENWICH — Some neighbors of Chabad Lubavitch of Greenwich are sad with what they are saying has been an ongoing downside with noise and site visitors for the reason that non-public Jewish college moved to Lake Avenue in September 2020.

Those self same neighbors now are criticizing a proposal earlier than the Planning & Zoning Fee so as to add a preschool and kindergarten to the campus in addition to extra employees parking.

“It’s noise from outdoors actions,” Jackie Kaufman, a lawyer employed by the Rock Ridge Affiliation, the native neighborhood affiliation, mentioned throughout a fee assembly Tuesday. “It’s not the content material of the noise, it’s the noise ranges themselves.”
