Greenwich Academy recognizes students commited to play in college

Among those announcing their collegiate commitments from Greenwich Academy Wednesday were Hutton Saunders, Mary Duffy, Maddie Holden, Josephine Genereux, Ellie Harned, Evie Kay Girard, Ava Butz, Whitney Wise and Cameron Brower.

Greenwich Academy acknowledged 9 seniors planning to compete at Divison I and II faculties throughout a ceremony attended by dad and mom, coaches and lecturers on Nationwide Signing Day Wednesday.

These signing nationwide letters of intent on the occasion have been Cameron Brower, subject hockey at Quinnipiac College, and Maddie Holden, lacrosse at Duke College. Additionally celebrating their plans to proceed as student-athletes in school have been: Ava Butz, lacrosse at Cornell College; Mary Duffy, squash at Stanford College; Josephine Genereux, golf at College of Virginia; Ellie Harned, crusing at Stanford College; Hutton Saunders, swimming at Columbia College; Whitney Smart, rowing at Princeton College; and Evie Kay Girard, volleyball at College of New Haven.

“We’re so happy with this group of younger ladies,” stated Head of Faculty Molly King, “they’re spectacular not just for their athletic and tutorial achievements, however for all the time main with character. We will’t wait to see the place their school careers take them.”

Greenwich Academy will honor all seniors planning to compete in school in all Divisions (I, II, III) within the spring when the admissions course of is full.
