‘Severe rat infestation’ temporarily closes SF Walgreens

The Walgreens in San Francisco’s Noe Valley neighborhood was quickly closed this week due to a “extreme rat infestation,” and the shop is not going to reopen till it passes an inspection, a report from the San Francisco Division of Public Well being revealed.

Inspectors visited the shop at 1333 Castro, close to twenty fourth Road, on Nov. 8, and ordered rapid closure of the shop attributable to “imminent well being hazards that would not be instantly corrected.”

The division stated the shop will likely be closed till the well being hazard has been successfully abated and the ability is reinspected. The division is requiring the shop to rent a licensed pest management operator, clear and sanitize affected areas, seal all holes and gaps and set up traps.
